A New York Christmas Wedding | Great Potential With Lacklustre Execution

★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

After adding A New York Christmas Wedding to our Netflix queue, we hoped that this LGBTQ+ holiday film would serve the delightful predictability of Hallmark mixed with a touch of indie cinema flair. Unfortunately this film didn’t give us much to write home about: the production value, the script, and the overall concept left far too much to be desired for us to really consider this a film worth watching. Even writing this short review is difficult as the film’s 90 minute run doesn’t feature the characters doing much of… well, anything.

Despite this, we applaud the director’s efforts to tell a much more unique love story than we anticipated. Hallmark had better step up their game — if there isn’t time travel in at least one direct-to-W-film next year then we will surely be disappointed.

We didn’t drink a wine with this film….. so there is no recommendation for this episode!
