The Score

10 M 46 S

Director: Thom Holland

This silent short film uses intense visuals and a powerful score to tell the story of two competing pianists locked in the search for their music. Shot entirely on a practical set (with mostly in-camera effects, save for a few animation overlays), The Score feels almost like a nightmare caught on film -- not in the sense that it's scary or overwhelming but because it perfectly captures the eeriness and uncomfortable environments that happen only in dreams.

The Score leaves a lasting impression that will leave you thinking of it long after you've stopped watching. The music will continue to play in your head long after you've finished watching, the last notes echoing on and on.
