Director Daniela Lucato created this film along with Mamma Dorme (part of tomorrow's programming!) as part of a sabbatical year in Italy. This abstract, dance-based short film was inspired by poems from Antonella Sica and dives into themes of memory and longing.
The cinematography of this piece is stunning. The choreography of both dancer and camera works to establish that feeling of bittersweet reminiscence so prevelant in the source material. Vieni has been screened in festivals around the world and we are honoured to have it as part of today's selection.
